Big Win Creates Permanent Bump
The stated mission of the SFA Athletics Department is to become the nation’s leading mid-major athletic department. Everything we do together focuses on helping the ‘Jacks accomplish this goal. Together, we’ve worked opportunistically to maximize the immediate and long-term impact of successes in competition and in the classroom.
In the first year of our partnership, we focused on maximizing the impact of the ‘Jack and Ladyjack basketball programs’ successes on the athletic department’s short and long-term development efforts.

Together, SFA Athletics and CaringCent proactively planned for a historic upset at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Within 30 minutes of the buzzer sounding on the ‘Jacks road win over Duke, CaringCent had conversion, engagement and fundraising digital assets ready for release. While SFA Athletics staff focused on celebrating with major donors on the way to the charter, coordinating television interviews and planning for a triumphant return to ‘Nac, we provided the content muscle to make sure that we fully optimized the moment for immediate returns in terms of new donations along with leveraging this national visibility to support future development efforts through lead conversion.

Together, SFA Athletics and CaringCent have identified hundreds of new leads appropriate for a major gift appeal or annual fund membership. We’ve developed unique fundraising appeals to help increase the Purple Lights Fund donor count, including a “Duke Win” focused appeal. Hundreds of additional leads fell outside of the major gift or Purple Lights Funds categories. These leads, largely located in Texas but too far from Nacogdoches to be season ticket holders, represented passionate SFA supporters who, if given the right options, would support the ‘Jacks. CaringCent and SFA applied our RallyGive technology to create a customized “Basketball Success” donation program targeted at SFA ‘Jack and Ladyjack supporters located across the country – most of which will not attend a home or away game.
